Anatomy and Physiology Courses

Due to studying anatomy and physiology at university, I have a deep understanding of the workings of the human body and a keen desire that students of complementary therapies have a thorough grounding in these principles and understand how to apply them in the clinical situation. I also firmly believe in the holistic nature of the body and the interconnections between the different body systems and I use this as a basis in my courses on anatomy and physiology for complementary therapists.

Anatomy and physiology are usually considered to be dry subjects that are studied from necessity. However, the subjects of anatomy and physiology are about understanding more about how our own bodies work, and how to improve our health and so are based on the very stuff of life. I have always found these subjects fascinating and I have written course a with a practical component which is interactive, interesting and fun.

I have taught at Reading School of Behavioural Kinesiology, EnergyWise Pilates training, Motherwell College of Further Education and the College of Naturopathic Medicine.

The course is based on the current government requirements for the anatomy and physiology components of complementary therapy courses. 60 contact hours, 60 hours of assessed homework and continual assessment.
